1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Flash Swap server, website and any related service. By accessing or using the service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Eligibility

• You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
• You must be legally permitted to hold and transfer the assets involved in your exchange.
• You may not use the service on behalf of a sanctioned person or entity.

3. Amounts and risk

• Clients must send exactly the amount specified in the exchange ticket.
• Sending more or less than the stated amount may result in a failed exchange or partial loss of funds.
• Overpayments are not guaranteed to be returned.
• Underpayments may void the exchange at the counterparty's discretion, for example where fees apply per transaction.
• Flash Swap does not cover market fluctuations, network delays, provider fees or pricing changes during or after a swap.
• All transactions are final and conducted at the client's own risk.
• Flash Swap does not intervene in, or compensate for, incorrect amounts, timing issues or disputes between counterparties.

4. Client responsibilities

• Evaluating counterparties before entering into any swap.
• Understanding the risks of these transactions.
• Ensuring the funds you send are lawfully yours to send.
• Ensuring compliance with tax, reporting and regulatory obligations in your jurisdiction.
• Keeping all trade communication inside the ticket, where a transcript exists.

5. Prohibited use

You may not use the service to engage in:

• Fraud, deception or misrepresentation.
• Laundering funds or evading sanctions.
• Exchanging assets in violation of applicable law.
• Exploiting vulnerabilities or interfering with the operation of the service.
• Harassing, threatening or abusing other users or staff.
• Advertising yourself or your products without permission.
• Impersonating staff, exchangers or other clients.

6. Verification

• Staff and exchangers are identified by roles inside the Discord server, mirrored on this website.
• Staff will never contact you first by direct message to begin a trade.
• Staff will never ask for passwords, two-factor codes, recovery keys or remote access to your device.
• Flash Swap is not responsible for losses arising from trades conducted outside an official ticket.

7. Availability and modifications

• We aim to provide reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We may modify or suspend features at any time.
• We may perform maintenance without notice.
• We may update these Terms at any time; the effective date above always reflects the current version.
• Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. Limitation of liability

• The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind.
• We are not responsible for delayed, failed or disputed transactions between counterparties.
• If a payment provider account is limited, locked or reversed, we are not responsible and no refund or trade completion can be guaranteed.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fee paid on the transaction in question.

9. Suspension and termination

• You may stop using the service at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you violate these Terms.
• We may suspend or terminate access immediately if your use poses a legal, security or operational risk.
• Termination does not affect obligations incurred prior to termination.

10. PayPal split payments

When choosing between Balance and Card/Bank as a payment source, Card/Bank takes priority. Where a payment is split across sources, select the Card/Bank option so the transaction is processed correctly.

Questions about these Terms should be raised in a Discord ticket so that a written record exists. Support requests sent by direct message may not be answered.

This policy explains what the Flash Swap website collects, what the Flash Swap Discord bot reads, and how that information is displayed publicly.

2. What the website collects

• No account, email address or payment detail is ever collected by this website.
• No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.
• A single session cookie is used only if you sign in to the private admin dashboard.
• Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) may be retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.

3. What the bot reads from Discord

• Messages in the public vouch and leaderboard channels.
• The names of the public counter channels, which contain aggregate totals.
• Membership of the trusted-client, owner and co-owner roles, plus the online status of staff.
• Nothing is read from direct messages, private channels or trade tickets.

4. How vouches are anonymised

• Display names are partially masked before they leave the bot — the full name is never sent to the browser.
• Avatars are rendered blurred, and can be disabled entirely by configuration.
• The Discord user id of the person a vouch was written for is stripped from the public payload.
• The message body is published as written, so remove anything sensitive before posting a vouch.

5. Legal basis and retention

• Public community content is processed on the basis of legitimate interest in demonstrating trade history.
• Aggregate statistics are retained indefinitely; they contain no personal data.
• Cached vouch and leaderboard data is refreshed on every sync and is not archived beyond the current window.

6. Your choices

• Deleting your message in the vouch channel removes it from the website on the next sync.
• Leaving the trusted-client role removes your profile from the trusted clients section.
• You can request removal of any content that concerns you by opening a Discord ticket.

7. Third parties

The website talks to exactly one backend — the Flash Swap sync service. Avatar images are served by Discord's CDN. There are no analytics providers, ad networks or third-party embeds.

8. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the effective date above and announced in the Discord server.
